Manipulator crane (abbr. KMU - crane-manipulator unit) is one of the types of devices for lifting loads, a free-standing crane. The main purposes are unloading and loading work, dismantling and assembly work at zero and minus marks. The operation of the manipulator crane is possible only in the composition with the transport base. The manipulator crane is mounted on tracked or wheeled vehicles (basic chassis) and is used for technological and work operations with various loads. A cargo vehicle equipped with a manipulator crane is capable of performing 2 tasks: transporting various loads and performing crane work. The CMU has a hydraulic drive and a telescopic boom. When transporting, the boom is compactly folded.
The manipulator crane is able to move the load to a certain place and in a strictly oriented position. The installation can be located both in the front part behind the truck cab and in the rear part of the body. The truck body is usedundefined for transporting goods.
